Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These are the terms for our public website, www.cooperationengine.com: the pages about CooperationEngine, the blog, the podcast and the waitlist. The site is run by PD KC, LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms.
The CooperationEngine app has its own Terms of Service. If you have an account in the app, those terms apply to it. Organizations that work with us also sign a separate agreement.
1. What this site is
This site tells people about CooperationEngine and lets them join a waitlist. It is information, not the service itself.
CooperationEngine is still being built, and it opens community by community. This site describes what CooperationEngine does today and what we plan. Features described as “next”, “later” or “coming soon” are plans. They may change, and they are not promises.
This site is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911 (in the US). If you’re thinking about suicide or are in emotional crisis, call or text 988.
2. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free and creates no obligation for you or for us. It is not an account, and it does not guarantee a place, a date or a price. We’ll write to you when CooperationEngine opens in your community.
Give us information that is true and that is yours to give. Our Privacy Notice explains what we do with it, including the live community feed.
3. Using the site
Please don’t:
- use the site for anything unlawful;
- submit someone else’s details to the waitlist without their agreement;
- submit false information, or flood the waitlist or the live feed;
- scrape the site, test its security without our written consent, or interfere with how it runs.
4. Our content
The text, design, logos, podcast episodes and blog posts on this site belong to us or to the people who made them with us. You’re welcome to read, listen, link and share. Please don’t copy them into something of your own, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, without asking first.
Our podcast and blog are available as feeds for personal listening and reading.
5. Stories on this site
Our podcast and blog tell stories about people who do good in their communities.
Some stories on this site today are illustrative. While we prepare our first episodes, the podcast pages show stories we’ve lived, told with illustrative names and details to show what the podcast will be. The people named in them are not real, and any resemblance to a real person is unintended. Each one is marked “Creation in progress - this will be updated” on its own page.
When we publish a real person’s story, we do it with that person’s permission.
6. Information for organizations and investors
Pages for nonprofits, businesses and government agencies describe how CooperationEngine can work for an organization. Prices and plans mentioned on this site are a general guide. What an organization receives, and what it pays, is set only in a signed agreement with us.
Pages for investors are general information about the company. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell securities or a request for an offer to buy them. Any investment would be made only through formal documents, to people who qualify, as the law allows.
7. Links to other sites
This site links to other sites, such as podcast platforms. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for what they do.
8. Our promises, and their limits
We work to keep this site accurate and running. But it is provided “as is” and “as available”.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that everything on it is complete or current.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising out of or relating to this site. Our total liability for all claims relating to this site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).
Some places don’t allow these exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not permit us to limit.
9. Changes
We may change this site and these terms. If we change the terms in a way that matters, we’ll post the new version here with a new date.
10. The legal part
- Governing law: these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
- Where disputes are heard: the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
- No forced arbitration. We’d rather sort a problem out by talking to you first. Write to hello@cooperationengine.com and we’ll try.
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
